The Israelite priesthood was only a shadow of what was to come. We needed a priest who is better than a sinful man. Christ is that man and never stops interceding for us.
Why do we gather for worship every Lord’s Day? And what should we expect? The answer is vital, for as Pastor Nate Harlan points out, refusing to go to church is a prelude to apostasy.
How did the resurrection of Christ influence worship by God’s people? Instead of being defined by separation, worship is now defined by communion. And instead of being in the shadows, worship is now in the light of heavenly realities.
